What is Chiropractor Care?
Chiropractors are excellent healthcare professionals who diagnose neuromuscular disorders. Chiropractic care uses a wide range of interesting techniques to reduce pain such as back pain, neck pain, ear infections, headaches, scoliosis, and more.
It is known to increase and improve mobility and function. Not only can chiropractors offer you treatment in a clinic, but they can also offer you a care package which includes things such as therapeutic exercises, healthy lifestyle changes, and helpful advice on self-help. Treatment includes gentle and safe, ‘spinal manipulation’. This is to free up joints on any areas that are not moving properly in the body. Spinal manipulation is where chiropractors use their hands to push on the joints, muscles, and bones around the spine. It is also known for chiropractors to use treatments such as heat, ultrasound, ice, and exercise.

Is Chiropractic Care Painful?
Many people often feel nervous about chiropractic treatment because they fear it will hurt. This is very understandable but the answer is it does not hurt. Adjustments to some joints around the body, particularly the spine, may feel faintly uncomfortable, but once you are adjusted, it is pain-free. Chiropractic adjustment consists of a precise, highly skilled movement. Everyone reacts to chiropractic treatment differently as everyone’s body is different. It is well known to be sore a day or 2 later after the treatment but stretching, exercising, or applying an ice pack can help resolve this. After the soreness (which may or may not happen, again everyone’s bodies are different) it will lead to the relief of your pain.
What to Expect When Visiting the Chiropractor for Treatment.
As you go for your first treatment session with a Chiropractor, you will be asked questions about your pain such as ‘how and when did the pain start?’ ‘Where is your pain?’ ‘Can you describe the pain?’ You will also be asked about your families medical history. You will receive the treatment and maybe leave the clinic with a diagnosis.
